The Duke
Clean Geometry. Quiet Profile. Nothing Out of Place.
The Duke keeps a quiet, modern profile: clean geometry, a slim silhouette, and nothing on the rail that does not need to be there. It is available in 7-foot and 8-foot sizes and four finishes, Black, Graphite, Traditional Mahogany, and Warm Chestnut, which lets it sit comfortably in a contemporary room or a more traditional one. The Duke is built from solid hardwood around a 1-inch Italian slate bed, with K66 gum rubber cushions for consistent rebound across the playing surface. Standard Mali wool-blend cloth is included, and Velocity Pro worsted cloth is available as an upgrade for tournament-grade speed and longer cloth life. For the 7-foot table, plan on a room of roughly 11 feet 11 inches by 15 feet 2 inches with a standard 52-inch cue; the 8-foot table needs about 12 feet 4 inches by 16 feet. The Duke is delivered and leveled by an authorized C.L. Bailey dealer and is backed by the lifetime structural guarantee on the frame, legs, and rails.

Frequently Asked
Common questions
An 8-foot table is the right answer for most American homes. It plays well for casual entertaining, serves a serious player, and fits the most rooms. A 7-foot table is right for tighter rooms and family-shared use. A 9-foot table is the tournament size and the right call only if the room genuinely accommodates it and a serious player wants the longer geometry.
C.L. Bailey residential pool tables use 1-inch Italian slate, set in three matched sections seamed together at installation. That is the residential standard, and it is the thickness that holds level for the life of the table. Anything thinner is a compromise.
Most residential pool table cloth lasts five to ten years before showing wear that affects play. Worsted cloth (Velocity Pro) often runs on the longer end. Napped cloth (Mali) replaced on a regular cleaning schedule runs in the middle. Heavy daily use, sun exposure near a window, or liquid spills compress the cycle. Replacement is a half-day visit with your dealer.
